Description

Introducing Cortek’s Z-axis test fixture kits, an affordable alternative for testing printed circuit boards when a traditional “”clamshell”” style fixture isn’t suitable. These kits offer accurate linear engagement, providing precise testing capabilities. The Z-axis assembly replaces the standard hinged top push plate in our kits and is available in our standard sizes. If required, it can also be purchased separately as an individual assembly for field upgrades. Similar to our standard mechanical fixture kits, these units can be customized to meet specific size requirements.

Upgrade your testing capabilities with Cortek’s Z-axis test fixture kits, offering affordability, accuracy, and customization options. Experience enhanced testing for printed circuit boards without compromising on precision.

Cortek’s Z-axis test fixture kits are a budget-friendly choice for exact linear contact with printed circuit boards where “clamshell” designs may not be the best fit. The Z-Axis mechanism is intended to replace the standard hinged top push plates found in our kits, offered in the regular sizes that we provide. Moreover, this assembly can be purchased on its own for retrofitting existing equipment. Like our standard mechanical fixture kits, these units are adaptable and can be customized to meet unique sizing needs.

Specifications

Features

The push plate offers an unobstructed working area, free from cross bars, ensuring complete access to the top side of the UUT.

Generous ¾” of travel in the Z-Axis. The top plate is easily replaceable, secured with four screws. The Z-Axis assembly remains unaffected by ECOs or new product types, preserving its longevity. The actuation design amplifies the force input from the operator. This enables higher force to be applied to the UUT without causing fatigue, allowing for increased probe counts while maintaining optimal probe spring rates. It ensures accurate and consistent actuation, facilitating top and bottom probing as well as fine pitch probing without subjecting the probes to side loading. The design boasts a robust construction featuring four linear guides, suitable for both laboratory and harsh environments. Gas spring supports provide balanced effort for opening and closing the fixture.
